The Wall Spot (retro fit) in solid copper above is an ideal solution if the requirement is to throw the light at any angle up to 90 degrees away from a fixed position on the side of a building or pergola. With almost 360 degrees of rotation the positioning of this fixture in relation to the subject being illuminated is very flexible.
This project features the home of one of Lighting Pacific's authorized installers, Victor Buckle. The lighting techniques combine dramatic visual effects with a functional and safe approach for family and friends.
Dramatic uplighting on mature palms both at the driveway entrance and again near the front entry uses the inground Lawn Lite.
The HUNZA™ Mouse Lite provides low level illumination in the turning bay from positions on the retaining wall.
Path Lites provide a visual marker down the driveway and along the path to the front entry. The visitor is drawn to the front door by a contrasting, brighter light in the front entry. The HUNZA™ Wall Spot (retro fit) is used for this purpose.
Landscape lighting should include the buildings to complete an integrated appearance.
This fixture is surface mounted and installation is simple, the installer having to allow only for the entry of the low voltage cable.
With HUNZA™ low voltage accent lighting the lighting designer can work with the three principal areas of the property: the building (which also covers decks, bbq sites and other functional areas attached to the house), the transitional areas (such as paths and steps) and the landscape or garden itself.
Using accent lighting, instead of bulkhead or general purpose lighting, retains the definition of each of these areas. No one space is dominated or washed out by another, and special features can be appropriately highlighted.
The contrast of light and shadow is important when considering a landscape lighting layout - over-lighting can produce an artificial result, devoid of mystery.
The retro fit means the fixture can be fed directly from the mains voltage.
The bronze Mouse Lite is the answer when the situation calls for a low profile fitting providing a low level of illumination that needs to be controlled in a strictly downward fashion.
The adjustable Spike Spot shown here up-lighting two specimen trees is one of the most versatile fittings in the HUNZA range. As well as its obvious up-lighting capability, the head can be adjusted up to 90 degrees in relation to the fixing spike to graze light horizontally across the ground, taking in low growing foliage, rocks and grasses.
The four-way Path Lite is the solution for the property owner looking for a visual guide down a driveway or path and can be supplied with a mounting canister.
Whilst this fixture has been designed for vertical positioning it can also be fixed horizontally to throw an architecturally pleasing four-way light pattern as an alternative to a step light. The one-, two- and three-way versions of this fitting can also be used in this manner.
The ability to position a low level light source in this manner is important where a wider cityscape or other view could be compromised by highly illuminated features in the foreground.
The photo offers a closer view of two HUNZA fixtures: the four-way Path Lite and the Spike Spot Adjustable, both in solid copper.
The three-way Path Lite. This is the ideal fixture to highlight the corner or edge of a deck or patio, or for use as a spaced marker down a path or driveway.
